Mama Farm has many different breeds of heritage breed sheep that include Jacob, Lincoln Long Wools, Santacruz and more. Our sheep roam Mama Farm freely and are sheared once or twice per year, depending on the breed. Their fleeces are used for educational programming, including our beginner-advanced level knitting circles, and to create product. Our first capsule collection in partnership with Moda Operandi & Aisling Camps was released in Fall 2023 and sold out in two days.
If you are interested to join one of our knitting circles or wool workshops, please follow us on Instagram (@mamafarm) for related announcements.
Mama Farm is also proud to partner with local schools and prominent universities such as RISD, Pratt & Parsons School of Design to teach young designers about the importance of farm-to-fashion principles and provide hands on educational programming in the wool creation process, from sheep-to-spool.
